My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Thank you for your prayers for Deacon Chris Hansen who was involved in a car accident.  He is currently recovering at a rehab facility. While he is away recovering, if there is anything that is needed, kindly contact me at the Parish Office.

St John Vianney will be celebrating our Parish Feast Day on Sunday, August 3rd.  The festivities begin with Mass at 10:30am followed by a Eucharistic Procession around our Church. Our new Marian Patio will be blessed and dedicated to Deacon Frank Telich and his wife Julie after the Eucharistic Procession.  There will be a luncheon served after these events.  If you are unable to participate in the Eucharistic Procession, we invite you to join us for the Blessing of the Marian Patio and for our Parish Feast Day Luncheon.  Please note the date change for our Parish Feast Day celebrations.

If you have not had the chance to see our new Marian Patio at St John Vianney, we invite you to take the opportunity to do so.  We had the statue of Mary installed last week and had some blue spruce trees planted by the patio to enhance the area.  We also had 2 benches installed by the Rectory side entrance of our Church.

I hope you are enjoying the new parking lot at Mary Our Queen. As you know, our parking lot was in bad shape and the cost to fix, mill and overlay our current asphalt parking lot is roughly about $150,000.  Thanks to your generosity, we have raised over $106,000.  It is still not too late to help us defray the cost of the parking lot.  If you are able to, kindly send your donation to the Parish Office.

While at it, we had the cracks in the parking lot at St John Vianney filled and sealed to protect it this week. This will be a stop gap measure to buy us some time to decide how we can work out a plan to address the work needed on the parking lot.  We also had to have some drainage work done by the rectory side entrance of our Church at St John Vianney last week as a preventative measure to protect our basement from leakages.

Please note that there was sod work done by the MOQ playground by the soccer field. The area where the work was done has been fenced off to give the new grass an opportunity to grow.  We ask that you kindly stay away from that area.  Thank you for your cooperation.

We also had some sod work done around the bare spots by the Church at St John Vianney, had some trees trimmed and had our grounds around our campus edged to improve the aesthetics of our campus.

Concrete work was done at the entrance area of the gym this week and there is a bit more work that is scheduled on both our campuses in the next few weeks.  This includes concrete work to improve the drainage of the parking lot at St John Vianney.

Have a blessed weekend,

Fr Marc
