Coming to know Christ is a journey that takes a lifetime, and the clergy, staff and volunteers at St. John Vianney and Mary Our Queen offer many opportunities to help you take a next step. In last week’s bulletin, we highlighted the encounter programs and experiences that are great starting points for everyone, no matter how long you’ve been part of the church.  This week, we’ll share opportunities to grow in faith.  In this column, we just have space to give an overview of a few of them!  Further details are available in a separate handout, or contact Jodi Meyer at [email protected] or 402-333-8662 for more information about these and other opportunities.

Faith Formation Groups available to everyone:

  • Small Groups– Our vision is to see every person in our parish community  connected to a balanced small group.  A healthy, balanced small group is one that includes friendship, learning, serving, sharing, and participation in the sacraments.  Contact Jodi Meyer at [email protected] if you are interested in becoming part of a small group.
  • Discipleship Quads– We help you grow in friendship with three others by joining a community that provides you with support, encouragement, and gentle accountability. Throughout the process, you will discover the beauty of the Catholic faith in a comprehensive and practical way by reflecting on Scripture and the Catechism. You will experience a more intimate relationship with Jesus as he equips you, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to live boldly as his disciple.
  • Next Step – Online Process from Evangelical Catholic– For those needing an on-demand, flexible option, the Next Step program offers a free, simple, guided Discipleship Pathway, covering the habits of discipleship in 6 online modules.  Choose the option for individuals or the Family Pathway at https://www.ecreachmore.com/pages/nextstep-products
  • Bible in a Year Study Group– The group meets weekly on Saturdays from 9 to 10 am in the Family Room at SJV.  Listen to an episode from Fr.
