Congratulations to Kolleen Hoffman for being honored as the Omaha Urban Council of Catholic Women Outstanding Catholic Woman of the Year for Mary Our Queen Parish. Twenty-four parishes in the Omaha metro area are affiliated with the Omaha Urban Council of Catholic Women.

Kolleen was nominated by multiple members of our parish for her selflessness and continued volunteer service for several years. In the nomination of Kolleen for this award, one sentence strikingly says it all, “Mary Our Queen is not simply where Kolleen works—it is where she has invested her faith, her family, and her heart. Her volunteer involvement includes GriefShare Coordinator, memorial cross coordinator, monthly donut Sunday organizer, All Souls Day memorial service, garage sale worker, lodge captain for women’s weekend retreats at Cloisters on the Platte and Human Needs Christmas Family gift participant, just to name a few of her efforts.

Kolleen has been called the “right and left hand” of Fr. Marc at Mary Our Queen. Anyone who knows her will support this claim. Recently promoted to Parish Life Coordinator, Kolleen seamlessly directs the operations of the two parishes in our family while consistently supporting parishioners with “care, devotion and deep faith. “

We are very proud of our Woman of the Year, Kolleen Hoffman. Congratulations!
