My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As we settle into our much-needed summer break, I am reflecting on all we have accomplished over the past year.  Our families, students in our Religious Education Program and 5 Day School, teachers and staff all came together and kept our community strong, hopeful, and grateful as we journeyed through the pandemic.  I would like to  begin by thanking you for your generous support of Mary Our Queen  Parish. It is because of your generosity that we can offer the quality programs for our Parish, Religious Education and Catholic education to the children of our parish and community.

While summer months may slow our pace, we are actively planning for the 2022-23 school year. We are excited to welcome over 600 students back to school in August.

As we conclude our financial year at the end of this month, Mary Our Queen would like to introduce and encourage the support of an annual Bridge the Gap campaign.  This critical program is being introduced to help us meet our budget so that we can continue to offer the quality programs in our Parish.  We are currently a little more than 8% off our budget or around $150,000 short.  I am encouraged by a parishioner who once told me the reason he continues to give to our Parish even though his children are grown up and have grandchildren.  He basically said that when he had kids in our school, there was no way he could afford the tuition but always remained grateful for those who made it possible for his children to have a Catholic Education.   The reason why he continues to give is to pay it forward in gratitude for what his children and family have received.

I am taking this opportunity to appeal to you to help us bridge the gap in support of our strong Catholic Faith and ongoing commitment to Mary Our Queen so that we can continue to offer the quality programs in our Parish.  Your tax-deductible donation to the annual Bridge the Gap campaign will go a long way to help us close this gap in funding.

I look forward to what the future holds with excitement and in appreciation of all who have come who help support MOQ Parish. I think of all the many lives changed for the better by being a part of the MOQ Community, including my own. Please continue to keep our entire Parish community in your prayers, with the assurance that you are in ours.  We thank you  and remain most grateful for your support.
