My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

A Blessed Easter to all of you.  We celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord.  After celebrating the Easter Triduum last year in an empty Church because of the pandemic, it is a blessing to celebrate this Easter Season with you.  With the pandemic we are experiencing, each of us had to make the best decision we can to keep safe.  Thanks to the vaccine that is made available to our community, we have seen more returning to join us at our liturgies the last few weeks.  We continue to broadcast our liturgies online for all who are unable to join us in person.

At the Easter Vigil, we welcomed Michael Prentice, Jacob Liles, Austin Taylor, Matt Diamond, Carolyn Diamond, Andrew Diamond and Camila Flores who received the Sacraments of Initiation.  Congratulations are in order.  We would also like to thank our RCIA team and the sponsors who journeyed with our RCIA candidates since the fall of last year in
the sharing the faith in which we share.  It is indeed a blessing that we are able to welcome so many.  We will begin a new program in the fall.  If you might be interested in becoming a Catholic or to just learn a little more of our faith, kindly contact me at the Parish office.

We hope that the Lenten observances of Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving brought renewal to your lives.  We also hope that our Lenten Wednesday Mission Series provided a message of hope in times of discord.  Thanks to all who helped make this Easter Season a joyful one especially all our choirs, musicians, sacristans, lectors, EMHCs, altar servers and those behind the scenes in helping with decorating our environment.

The next two Sundays, we will be celebrating with our Second Graders their First Communion.  Please keep them in your prayers.

We opened up our Parish for meetings and groups from February 1st.  We continue to navigate with the COVID-19 environment and to follow our established protocol.  All DCHD protocols are and will be followed. Close contact/quarantine information will come from the DCHD.  As a reminder, please monitor COVID-19 symptoms.  As always, if you or a family member has a fever, chills, body aches, headache, sore throat, cough, and loss of taste and smell, they should stay home from school or church until symptom free.  Continue to utilize and refer to our COVID-19 Resource Page at https://www.moqschool.org/moq-covid-19-resource-page/.  We continue to place the health and safety of all members of our school and parish community our top priority.

Please check out our Weekly Updates via email.  If you have not received an email, kindly call our Parish Office and we will add you in our email mailing list.  Thank you again for supporting us during this time. We continue to keep all those affected by this virus in our prayers.

God’s Blessings,

Fr Marc
