Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is a program for adults who are interested in becoming Catholic but who have not received the three sacraments of initiation into the Catholic Church (Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation). Candidates who have been baptized in another Christian denomination generally receive only Eucharist and Confirmation. The program is designed to educate the participants regarding the teachings of the Catholic Church, but also to foster and encourage a deeper, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If you or someone you know is interested in becoming Catholic – or who has been baptized Catholic but has not received First Communion and/or Confirmation, RCIA is designed for you to learn about the Catholic faith and to become Catholic if that is your desire. The program starts each year in September and continues until Easter. RCIA meets on Sundays from approximately 9:00am to noon.

High School Youth – Oremus

HS Youth Ministry “Oremus” is Mary Our Queen’s High School Youth Ministry and is welcome to all current 9th-12th graders.  Oremus is Latin for “Let Us Pray,” as a reminder that our relationship with Christ comes through prayer. We strive toward Christ and His Church through quality relationships with each other and time in prayer. Oremus desires to support and form the high school youth by helping them to navigate life’s difficulties and challenges through the light of Christ.

Oremus Jr.

MS Youth Ministry Mary Our Queen Middle School Youth Ministry is called “Oremus Jr.” Oremus is Latin for “Let Us Pray” as a reminder that our relationship with Christ comes through prayer. Our meetings with the current 6th-8th graders are in a group setting that consist of food, community building, high energy activities, and a focus on deepening each individual’s relationship with Christ. It is our hope that each youth walks away from each night with a deeper understanding of Christ’s love for them and with a greater personal love for Christ and one another.
