Baptism

Recognizing that parents are the first teachers of their children in the ways of faith, we offer catechetical instruction to help parents understand their responsibilities as baptized Christian parents, realize the purpose and significance of the sacramental symbols in the ritual of initiation, grasp the reason for renewing their own baptismal vows, make a new commitment to actively live this life of faith and to actively worship with the community.

All new parents or parents who have not had a child baptized within the last five years are required to attend a Baptism preparation class. Please contact the Parish Office to be scheduled for a baptism class.

For more information, please contact Kolleen Hoffman at the Parish Office.

Reconciliation/Confession

The sacrament of First Reconciliation takes place in the second grade for students at Mary Our Queen school and Religious Education program. Preparation is done in the school and RE classes. Classes for young people who have not been baptized (or who have been baptized but have not received some of the sacraments) are available.

If your child is new to the community and in need of this sacrament, please contact the Director of Religious Education. He will assist in becoming current with their present grade level.

You can view our reconciliation times here.

Marriage

The Sacrament of Marriage is a very special celebration in the life of the Church and Parish Community. We hope and pray that you will find Mary Our Queen a place of welcome and support as you begin to prepare for the Sacred Rites of Marriage.

Please note that all weddings must be scheduled at least 6 months in advance. To be married at Mary Our Queen, we require that at least one member of the engaged couple (or their parents) be a registered parishioner for one year or longer before preparation for the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony may begin.

To begin the process of preparation and scheduling your wedding, please contact Renee Spicka at the Parish Office. She will assist in scheduling the wedding as well as setting up your initial marriage preparation meeting with the Pastor.

Holy Orders

And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven. Matthew 16:18-19
