My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We had the first session of the Trinity House Gatherings at St John Vianney last Saturday.  Trinity House Gatherings is a new program for our Family of Parishes that provides fellowship and support in building a faith-filled home for our young families.  The next gathering is on March 22nd.  Please see the upcoming bulletins for more details.

That Man is You is a program for men in our Family of Parishes and began on January 23rd.  It will be held from 6am to 7am every Thursday at Mary Our Queen.  Please see the bulletin for more details.

We had our 13th Annual SJV Winter Rub BBQ Contest and Dinner beginning with SJV Casino Night with our Wings BBQ Competition last Friday and Beef Brisket or Pulled Pork Sandwich Meal on Saturday, January 25.  All proceeds from the BBQ Contest and Dinner go to benefit SJV’s Community Outreach program that helps the needy in our community.  I would like to thank all our volunteers who made this event possible and for the volunteers from MOQ’s Men’s Club and Knights of Columbus who assisted in the Casino Night.

Next Saturday, February 1st will be MOQ Men’s Club’s Annual Game Feed.  All proceeds from the Game Feed go towards our Men’s Club activities that support MOQ Parish Programs.  We are grateful for all the work our Men’s Club has done to build up our Parish Community

Marquee 2025 will be on February 22nd.  The Theme for MARQUEE 2025 is The Greatest Show.  This is MOQ’s biggest Fundraiser.  All proceeds from this event will go to MOQ.  We are grateful for all who make this event possible.  Since its inception, over 4 million has been raised that helped make capital improvements at MOQ.

Please see the bulletin for more details and available programs in our Family of Parishes and thank you for your support and generosity for our Family of Parishes.

We had more work done with the HVAC system for the Church and basement at SJV this week.  This is project is initiated to address the HVAC system for our Church and basement classrooms in St John Vianney which was the original unit when our Church was first built 50 years ago.  After consulting with engineers and working with Mike Winkelmann, we came up with a solution for a new system by rebuilding our HVAC system that will utilize the current boilers that are used to heat our social hall and narthex.  We had to take down some trees by the side entrance of the Church and fence out the area so that the new water-cooling system for the HVAC for the Church can be installed.  While at it, we had to address the HVAC system that heated and cooled the sacristy, the confessionals and the youth room in the basement.  The old unit went out a few years ago and we did not have the opportunity to replace it.  We took this opportunity to replace it while we are updating our Church and basement system.  We also had to upgrade the control system that controls all our mechanicals on our Campus as it was no longer supported by our vendor.  The cost to rebuild the above-mentioned system was $300,000.  To finance this project, we took a loan from our Archdiocese who also helped finance our roof replacement a year ago.

God Bless

Fr Marc
