My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We celebrated St John Vianney’s Feast Day last Sunday in continuation of our 50th Anniversary Celebrations.  Thank you for all our volunteers for making the occasion a memorable one.  Fr Reiser returned from his pilgrimage where he visited Ars and celebrated Mass at the Shrine of St John Vianney on his Feast Day.  You can find images of his trip on our Facebook page.

Last Sunday our Home and School Association at Mary Our Queen School had an Ice Cream Social for all our new incoming Kindergarten Class. We are happy to welcome them and our new students for the school year that begins this week.  This year we have a completely full kindergarten class.  What a blessing to have our School continue to grow each year.   This is a special tribute to all the staff at Mary Our Queen and to all of you as you continue to be Ambassadors of our Family of Parishes.  Our teachers came back last week to prepare for the new school year.  We continue to pray for a Blessed year ahead.

There has been a setback in the playground by the soccer field at Mary Our Queen.  The company that we contracted to do the poured rubber surface continues to delay the installation.  We are hoping that they will begin to start work this week.  Meanwhile the post for the fencing by the playground was installed this week.  We also had two new picnic tables by the playground installed.  Thanks to the Men’s Club for making the assembly of the picnic tables possible.

With the new school year about to start, we had four classrooms in the lower level of the school remodeled with new flooring, ceiling tiles, video projectors and white boards.  We hope to complete the remainder of the classrooms in the lower level of the school next summer.  We also had some furniture for the school donated to help enhance our classrooms.

We are slowly assessing the damages at our Family of Parishes and have initiated  an insurance claim as a result of the storm.  Meanwhile, we are doing our best to make the necessary repairs caused by the storm. Thank you also to all our volunteers for helping clear out tree debris from both our campuses.  Thank you also to James Bolamperti of ACME Tree Services for helping us remove the trees that came down.  There are still more trees that need to be cut down due to the storm, but that will be a project for a later date.

I will be making a home visit to see my family on Monday and will be back in time for Mary Our Queen’s Fall Festival.  It has been more than a year since I made a home visit.  Please pray for my safe travels.

Have a Blessed Week.

Fr Marc
