Adult Choir
The adult choir is under the direction of Paulette Smith. They sing at the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday mornings, as well as special liturgies throughout the year. Rehearsals are Mondays at 7:00 p.m. in the church.
ELEVEN
ELEVEN is the contemporary group, incorporating various instruments and vocals. They minister at the 11:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday mornings throughout the year. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings in the church. Auditions are required for this ensemble.
Cantors and Pianists
Mary Our Queen has several cantors and pianists that lead the music at our 5:30 p.m. Saturday Mass. This mass features more traditional music. There are no rehearsals for this ministry – musicians collaborate together before their scheduled masses according to their own schedules.
Children’s Choirs
The ministry of our youth choirs is to provide music for parish masses, sacraments, and Mary Our Queen school masses. All Mary Our Queen School, Public School, and Home School students who wish to participate are welcome. The Advanced Children’s Choir is open to all students in grades 5 – 8 who have sung in a MOQ choir for at least one year. They rehearse on Wednesday afternoons. The Children’s Choir is open to all students in grades 3 – 8 and rehearses on Tuesday afternoons.
Children’s Christmas Choir
All children of the parish in grades 3 – 8 are welcome to sing in the Christmas Choir. This choir rehearses during the weeks leading up to the Vigil of the Nativity, and sings at the 4:00 p.m. Mass on Christmas Eve.
