Contact Jacob CortrightConfirmation is the final Sacrament of Initiation in the Church. Confirmation stirs up the gifts of the Holy Spirit that was given to each of us at our Baptism.
Confirmation is not a rite of passage or a graduation from the Church. Rather, Confirmation is a sacrament in which we are strengthened by the Holy Spirit to be more faithful and courageous witnesses of Jesus Christ.
Pentecost was the first Confirmation. After Pentecost, the Apostles left the Upper Room with courage and zeal for the Gospel. They were sent to disciples of all nations as are we at our Confirmation.
